Hi, my name is Ash, welcome to our family page. First a little about myself and my family life here in Hexham, Northumberland.
I am 68 years of age, I was born a farmer's son on Hepburn Farm, North Northumberland at the foot of Ross Hill. From the top of this hill you can see the most fantastic panoramic view, In my opinion of North Northumberland, the Northumbrian coast and the Scottish Borders. The farm also bordered the Chillingham Estate with its castle and being home of the famous Chillingham White Cattle. Northumbria is a beautiful county full of historic places, like Hadrian's Wall, Castles and Battlefields of English/Scottish Border wars.

After being educated at local schools plus colleges and serving an electrical apprenticeship at C.A. Parsons in Heaton, Newcastle Upon Tyne. I then spent 6 years at an electrical engineer in the Merchant Navy mainly with 'Shaw Saville Line'. This was a very adventurous period of my life, which taught me a lot about other people's cultures and lifestyle.

I then met my wife Janice (Jan) we lived in Leicester where we married and worked for 6 years before returning to Northumberland. For the last 9 years we have retired from our business as Newsagents in Hexham.

We are now looking to change direction so we have more leisure time. See links. My main hobbies in life have been horses involving racing stables, Football and now watching the team I have supported all my life Newcastle United.

I enjoy watching all sports, walking, gardening and golf.

Now for the first time with my friend Malcolm (Worwebsite.com ), I enjoy learning about computers and of course the Internet!

My name is Janice Ann Spittle, but most people call me Jan. I am 64 years old, I was born in Berwick-upon -Tweed, which is the most northerly port, on the East Coast of England, and situated on the English / Scottish border.

I was educated in Berwick, my first job was in an office, (Accounts Department,) before joining " Pringle of Scotland "in the Knitwear Industry, it was here that I met my husband, Ashley.
We moved to Leicester where we lived and worked for 6 years, we enjoyed many happy times, living there, making a lot of friends, who are still friends today.

For nineteen years, I enjoyed running the business here in Hexham and creating the home where we live.
My interest's over the year's have varied, I represented my school in Athletics and Swimming, but Badminton was my main sport, I played for many years and was proud to play for my County.
Today I still enjoy watching sport's, and often go to watch "Newcastle United" with Ashley.

Other interest's I really enjoy are Walking, Gardening, Cooking, and Interior Design.
