Ingram

The small village of Ingram lies in the Beamish Valley, with the Cheviot Hills towering behind, this is part of the National Park, a very popular place for visitors.
Attracted by the surrounding rugged scenery, it makes a very picturesque setting for ramblers and picnickers alike. There are many walks in and around Ingram, so it is a good base to start, this has been made possible through an agreement, made between the local Landowners and the National Park.

One interesting walk takes you to "Linhope Spout", one of the Counties largest Waterfalls and is situated 3 miles west of Ingram, take a route to Linhope House, then following the path along the river.

To reach this lovely valley, you turn off the main Morpeth to Wooler (A697) just after the village of Powburn travelling North.
