Our house - BANDOL.

Jan & I  have lived here at ( Bandol )for 27 yrs., this is our third home, since we got married.

The house was built by an American gentleman called Mr "Thackara", way back in 1951, it took nearly 2 years to build due to materials being in short supply at that time, also a licence to build, was required at that time.

Now!!! the house name (Bandol), we have been asked many times, how the name came to be.

The answer we have arrived at, (though not conclusive) is that, Mr" Thackara "we believe, may also have worked or holidayed in France, hence having some connection with the South Coast resort of Bandol , it would be nice to know for sure.!!

Over the years, we have extended the house, with a new master bedroom (en--suite), a Conservatory plus landscaping the Garden, creating (we think) a nice home in a peaceful setting
